Description
This session covers best practices for selecting accessible media and remediating media for accessibility, including images, infographics, tables, charts, audio files, videos, Zoom sessions, and Panopto videos.
You will also be introduced to accessibility resources on campus that are here to aid you in creating and identifying accessible media for your courses.
Goal
The goal of the workshop is to examine the accessibility of pre-existing media and to remediate media based on best practices of digital accessibility.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this workshop, the participant will be able to:
- Locate accessibility resources on the UA campus.
- Identify methods for selecting and remediating accessible media for your courses.
Workshop Structure
This hands-on workshop is facilitated face-to-face and includes both direct instruction and time for participants to select and create accessible media. Virtual sessions may be available.

90 minutes in workshop, variable preparation time

This workshop counts toward the requirements of the Digital Accessibility digital credential. Active participation is required to earn credit toward your badge. Confirmation of your participation is at the discretion of the facilitator.

Pre-Workshop Preparation
Participants will be provided with a media package for use in this workshop. All attendees should bring a laptop with Microsoft 365 pre-loaded.
